AI Valuations

April 8, 2024 @ 12:00 AM

So my next blog is all about AI evaluations on properties and real estate.
Now, AI is a handy tool, and it’s not going away. It can assist in many things, but I don’t believe that it can accurately evaluate a property.
Be it a townhouse, detached home, farm, or even a piece of vacant land…depending on data and algorithms alone, is not the way to value a house or property.
A professional realtor needs to see a home or property in person, with their own eyes.
The beautiful thing about real estate, is that not a single home is precisely the same.
Your finishes, décor, lot and landscaping cannot be evaluated by square footage, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, lot size alone, etc.
This is what AI looks for on the internet.
My opinion…AI will never take over accurate property valuations. It can give you a rough idea of what other people are seeing, but again, every home is different. Anyway, this is just my recommendation for everyone wanting to know what their real estate portfolio might be worth…get a human in.
