The Orangeville area rests at the HEADWATERS of the Credit River, Grand River, Nottawasaga River and Boyne River systems and is surrounded by picturesque communities. Orangeville is located approximately 50 mins North-West of Toronto - making it an easy commute for those who work in the city but enjoy living in a small-town atmosphere.

Orangeville's motto is "Historic Charm – Dynamic Future!" Much of Orangeville's history can still be seen with mature trees and historic buildings lining Broadway and the other original streets in town.

Orangeville offers an endless variety of restaurants, a restored Opera House that features quality live productions each season, and plenty of unique downtown shops. As you stroll through the streets you will notice one-of-a-kind tree sculptures created by local artists, designed to give new life to trees that have been declared beyond hope.

Orangeville also offers a continually expanding multi-use trail systems including a 10 kilometer trail that winds through the scenic Island Lake Conservation Area, a 332 hectares conservation area with lake, wetland, forest and meadow that is also ideal for fishing, boating, and cycling. There are many other hiking trails just minutes from town. The Bruce Trail winds through Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, the Hockley Valley and offers access at various other spots throughout Dufferin County. Monora Park has 100 acres offering 18 km of walking trails which are groomed in the winter for cross-country skiing.

Orangeville offers many festivals and events throughout the year, including the ever-popular Jazz and Blues Festival on the first week end in June.
